Research Internships

Melbourne undergraduate students enrolled in Biomedical Sciences or Science & Technology internship subjects as well as overseas-based students enrolled in suitable Masters and PhD programs are welcome to express interest in a research internship or an exchange research project in our lab. We offer limited positions for talented and exceptionally motivated students, who are considering to pursue a career in cognitive and/or decision (neuro)science, who are looking for the opportunity to conduct their research in the lab, or who want to get involved in existing research. It is possible to write a thesis as part of the project.

Overseas students will additionally need to be accepted via the University of Melbourne Study Abroad (Incoming) program. Internship durations are either determined by the respective subject, up to 6 months max for international students. Please discuss possible supervision first before applying to the program.

Students will take part in all activities of the lab, such as lab meetings, workshops and journal clubs, and have the opportunity to be directly involved in real research projects. Please note that the availability of research internships/exchange positions depends on available projects and current supervision capacity.

Please also note that we cannot offer any undergraduate internships for students not enrolled in an internship/research subject. Please contact the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences directly for other internship opportunities.
